Brigitta, do you think that the SPCA is waiting to announce that it's pulling out out of animal control? Would makes sense why they don't want to put a penny in until October!

The October date has come up twice now - once in your response regarding the condition of Maple Ridge, and twice with Brimacombes remarks about a AC review coming in October! Also, it's interesting what Beth is saying on Brindleweb that she has heard that October will be a tranistion phrase when they be getting rid of the "old guard" in or around October.

Put two and two together and what have you got?

Wonder what the volunteers are going to do if the SPCA does get out of Animal Control and therefore shelters in the Lower Mainland? Will they stay with the SPCA and fundraise for them (with the lure of a grand fundraising scheme to build a new SPCA regionally "owned" shelter?) Or, do you think they will stick with their municipal pounds who will scream poverty when they are asked to finance the badly needed upgrades?
