SPCA seizes 53 dogs from Kelowna-area property
VANCOUVER (CKNW/AM980) -- The SPCA says it has
raided a property in the Kelowna-area and seized 53
Husky-cross dogs."Officials say it appears to be the largest animal cruelty
seizure in the region. The dogs were taken from a
Beaverdale property.The shelter claims the animals were being mistreated
and not given enough food, water and attention. Charges
are being considered against the owner of the property."See the Hub Cap Guy's operation at the link below.
We hear that the SPCA has seized dogs from this man before. If so, were they killed or returned?
Will these dogs be killed or returned?
The SPCA seems to be building its case to kill them by saying that they may have giardia. Giardia is easily treated and needs a fecal sample sent to the lab at Langley to diagnose, not guesswork. The symptom is diarrhoea, which happens to almost 100% of dogs whose diet is suddenly changed -as when they go to an SPCA, as the SPCA knows well.
This is the same "shelter" that killed pups found in a dumpster last Christmas for having (or not having, it was never clear) parvo - without any attempt to get the money and support from the community to save them (if they needed saving).
