Some individual SPCA shelters do have excellent programs however there are also cases in which a program may look much more impressive on paper than what it really is. The types of programs and services offered by the Nanaimo SPCA sound wonderful especially if they are indeed effective, kudos to the people who designed them and made them happen! The next step is to share these programs with all the SPCAs in the province. There is very little, if any, continiuty with current SPCA programs,individual branch policies or even adoption fees.
