I have always wished I had millions of dollars to spare. I would use those dollars to bring about a law suit against one person who had killed an animal on a sanctuary or on public or crown lands.
My claim would be that, as a member of 'the public' and as a 'subject of the crown', I had not given my permission for that person to murder the tiny little piece of that animal that I own. Would I not be correct in assuming that animals on these lands belong to everyone? Why does a killer (hunter?) have a right to this animal and I don't? Do I not have the same ownership to one infinitesimal piece of flesh; one single drop of blood on that creature as that murderer? If so, I do not agree that he may decimate my portion nor spill my drop of blood.
Oh, where are my millions when I need them?
