Just recently Costco has started carrying winter jackets with dog fur
trim on them. The raccoon dog is a breed of canine native to China
where the jackets were made. Over 90% of the world's fur is raised in
China on nightmarish fur farms. I am so sorry to say but
unfortunately, most fur farmers in China refuse to pay for any methods
of killing the animals before they skin them, choosing only to slam
them onto the ground to stun them before they cut, many animals are
skinned alive and most remain alive for up to 10 minutes after the
skin is removed from their bodies. Sad but true.
A few people have complained already and Costco is in the process of
considering taking all dog fur off their shelves.
Please contact Costco and tell them that animal cruelty is not fashion
and the jackets need to be removed.
