SPCA humane education? During my children's nine years of school in Kamloops (my son is in grade 12) the SPCA never once attended their schools to educate in anyway. What a farce.
The Kamloops SPCA facility is no better than a jail. Dark dingy concrete bunkers with chain link dividers, filled with stressed out dogs. The barking is deafening when anyone enters the area.
What use is The SPCA's professed moratorium on euthanasia if the SPCA continues to utilize CAMP? Very few dogs will pass, including some puppy mill dogs which Mr Daniell is rescuing in droves. The cat facilities are even worse. What does the Kamloops SPCA do with all of its fundraising funds???
It took four days and six phone calls to Vancouver to cancel my monthly SPCA donations. No one seemed to know what to do. No wonder they can't get their financial statements together. Wish I could send a letter to Revenue Canada "apologizing" for not filing on time and then carry on merrily.
"We cannot lose sight of the fact that we accomplish miracles in our facilities every single day" Miracles is a pretty lofty word. Imagine the public outcry if we euthanized injured or stressed out people; then lauded the saved rehabilitated ones as miracles.
Mr Daniell may have started out with good intentions but I fear he is slowly being assimilated into the club. I personally don't see anything in Craig Daniell's letter that would serve to encourage me.
