The "experts" the SPCA uses to prop up its killing in Kamloops, are expert in disease management - not experts in animal welfare.
The SPCA is "expert" in disease management too. For at least 50 years the SPCA has "managed" disease by killing the diseased.
The SPCA's other area of expertise is in population management. And in fact only one solution - killing - is needed for both disease and population management.
As we know, the SPCA does not practice humane population management as it sells intact animals.
The disease and population "management model" that the SPCA has used for as long as we have been able to trace it back, takes very little training; only one or two sessions of killing unsellable SPCA animals, and certification is given. People with strong ethics need not apply. People who are dim enough to buy the "it's an awful job but someone has to do it" justification are perfect for the job. There are a lot of these people at the BC SPCA. They repeat parrot-like how everyone cried and how "hard" it was on the poor staff. None of these people has the intelligence to understand that if a thing is wrong, it is not made right with tears.
