Just like the SPCA - offload the expenses onto others, but take all the P.R. Or at least, try to. The other cat groups didn't bite.
Actually - the SPCA, after a long, ignominious history of stealing credit - which translates into stealing money in the form of donations and therefore is a legal matter - has mended the error of its ways somewhat. After taking credit for all the heroic work done in the firestorms of 2003, it was called onto the carpet by the national organization that did as much or more, Noah's Wish Foundation. The SPCA then began acknowledging Noah's Wish's efforts.
We would like to see more of the SPCA giving credit where credit is due.
