Ahh... Do you think that the SPCA may have hit on a "sympathetic prosecutor" with the Scarlet case? Do you think Brimacombe felt confident enough with his previous cruelty case histories and education with crown prosecution that he could announce to “the world” that he can now spend thousands on legal fees and media to push the case of animal psychological distress? Being a total cynic I’m beginning to wonder for whose benefit this media exercise was for - Scarlet or for his reputation?
By the way, what has happened with the Scarlet case? Is she still with a SPCA staff member? Has she been successfully rehabilitated and adopted to a happy family? I would like an update on that case too.
