OCT. 13 - Volunteer notes: Tina was very easy to take for a walk. She did not pull on the leash at all and stayed very calm and quiet. This may be due to her doggy cold though because she was a little too quiet for such a young girl. Tina is a very submissive dog. In the kennel play area she laid down and exposed her underbelly. When I was sitting on the ground, she crawled into my lap and soaked up the hugs and pets. She is still very shy. She found it hard to make eye contact and took treats every so tentatively. Tina followed my cues quickly. When I moved away from any area, she quickly followed. I believe, like most kennel dogs, Tina has not been socialized with too many dogs or people. The good thing is that with people she has chosen to take a submissive role when unsure. Tina is one of those really soft dogs that will be easy to love.
OCT. 17 - Volunteer notes: In our time out together today, Tina seemed a bit unsure of her surroundings. She did alot of pacing back and forth and was a little anxious, or maybe just curious about other dogs. We tried playing with toys, but she wasn't too sure how to go about it. She was definitely interested and could learn though.
Tina is a young girl, a recent mom and is a little on the thin side right now. She could definitely use some TLC and some quality time. She is a very loving girl and just melts when you give her affection. She loves pets and hugs and is gentle. She will also give you a doggy kiss in return.
Tina is a sweet girl by nature and I think has the potential with the right caregivers to be a great companion.
